The New York Rangers have been inconsistent this year, but they’re turning it on with two Stadium Series wins. Henrik Lundqvist seems to have found his stride again, but against a speedy Colorado Avalanche team this is a tough one. Colorado has depth and skating, and they pose a difficult matchup for the Rangers defense – not the mention the superiority of the west as a whole…

A strong signal for this game today, as the Knicks are overwhelming favorites. The computer gives a 70% chance to cover the spread and an 83% chance to win the game. I’m on them in a teaser, the money line, and even a first to 20 points bet because I think they come out firing here. The computer also likes the over, and given the firepower here and the relatively low line, I agree.

Zcode Grand Team Championship Game week 1 Results Congratulations everybody on successful GameWeek1 ! A Lot of great victories, dramatic upsets, team strategy brainstorming sessions and even some tough fights, we had it all during the Game Week 1.

A lot of people showed really great commitment, a fair sportsmanship and a great team spirit and not only submitted the POD but helped the team mates create the locker room forums, find the links, discuss the plays, calculate results.

The Stadium Series, which for me is little more than an NHL gimmick that takes the Winter Classic three steps too far, concludes with the Rangers and Islanders tonight in the second of the Rangers’ outdoor games this year.  I’m actually excited for this game though, and love the line.

The New York Rangers are the better team this year in my opinion.  The Islanders have been streaky, and are certainly capable of rising to the occasion on the big stage, but I don’t think they matchup well  ...

I’ve hit the big game every year since the Giants upset the unbeaten Patriots. We’re on something of a streak, and I’ve published this pick for the last five years. Last year, with a great deal of trepidation, we hammered the Ravens and it paid off. This year, with a similar lack of confidence, I’m on the Broncos, but I certainly won’t be laying 12 units of fun like I did last year.
