NFL Playoffs Picks, NFC Championship: Green Bay Packers vs Seattle Seahawks (-7.5) We had a perfect bracket in the NFC this year after an injured Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers through some controversy last round. Hell, the Dallas Cowboys were only there because of a similar officiating issue, so we feel like it all balanced out (in our favor). So, with nothing broken, why change a thing? We’ll stick to our original prediction here – especially given the health of Aaron Rodgers – and take the Seattle Seahawks at home.

Quite frankly, the Packers looked scared the first time  ...

The Tampa Bay Lightning are fresh off a horrible loss to a 33-year-old rookie goalie and the Philadelphia Flyers at the time of this writing, but their offense remains one of the most explosive in hockey. The Vancouver Canucks, at the time of this writing, have scored one goal in their last two games, both at home. Both teams have had solid seasons. Both teams are stumbling right now. Tampa Bay is a long way away from Vancouver, but the Lightning, for me, have been the more volatile team this year. Who ya got? NHL Picks: Tampa Bay Lightning at Philadelphia Flyers

NHL Picks: Tampa Bay Lightning at Philadelphia Flyers The Tampa Bay Lightning are one of the better teams in hockey. They have an anchor in net in Ben Bishop and one of the most effective, explosive, exciting offenses in hockey. The Philadelphia Flyers have all the promise Claude Giroux once held, a backup goalie, and the aftermath of a roster that collapsed once Chris Pronger’s head injury prematurely ended his career.

The Lightning matchup well here and the Flyers are stumbling through this season. I think they’ll put up a bunch of goals on this weak defense and unknown goalie.

The computer agrees, expecting the Tampa Bay Lightning to take this one. The Score Predictor predicts a 4-1 victory, while the computer algorithm says there is a 67% chance of victory with five stars of value in the line.

NHL Picks: Winnipeg Jets at Anaheim Ducks

NHL Picks: Winnipeg Jets at Anaheim Ducks The line is a little sharp here, but it seems worthwhile. The Anaheim Ducks are one of the top teams in the west, while the Winnipeg Jets are wildly inconsistent. Throw in some fatigue from a team like the Jets that lacks some depth and I think the explosive offense of the Ducks will shine through here – especially against a weak goalie.

The Jets are tired and coming off a big win, but are traveling all the way to southern California and should be suffering some fatigue. They’re also the inferior team here  ...

NFL Playoffs Predictions, Updated Bracket: Broncos Seahawks Super Bowl Rematch?We were perfect in the first round, going 2-0 against the spread and 4-0 on the money line. As such, our bracket really doesn’t need any updating. That said, it’s the NFL Playoffs and I’m too excited not to make another post. So, next round, same predictions, but with a little more analysis on the games that remain. We’re all chalk here, but I don’t really see any budding upsets like we had in the first round.

1. New England Patriots OVER 6. Baltimore Ravens

Thank you, Baltimore, for coming through as underdogs in the first round. That said, it looked like easy money. Baltimore is a winning franchise that was playing an arch rival they were extremely familiar with while the Steelers were without their top running back and arguably best and most important player. NFL Playoffs Picks: Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts (-3.5)The Cincinnati Bengals have been one of the most inconsistent teams in football this year. Their best offensive weapon is out with a concussion and AJ Green will not play. Andy Dalton is not a quarterback I trust with my money, especially on the road, especially in the playoffs. The Bengals have found regular season success, but this team doesn’t know how to win big games.

The Indianapolis Colts have an explosive offense, and I like the way they match up with the Bengals. Cincy will make mistakes on the road and this mediocre Indy defense should be able to play well enough to win. I don’t think the Bengals defense, talented as it is, will be able to slow down the Colts.

I trust the better quarterback in Andrew Luck, the better team in the Colts at home, and the playoff history at play here. I’m on the Colts, -3, buying  ... 

NHL Picks: St. Louis Blues at San Jose Sharks

NHL Picks: St. Louis Blues at San Jose Sharks The San Jose Sharks are a tremendous team on home ice. The Shark Tank is intimidating and the high-powered scorers that the roster is built around enjoy the right to last change on face offs.

The St. Louis Blues are on the road, on a back to back, in a long slump, and all parameters of the system fit. The only hesitation here comes from how sloppy the Sharks have been of late, so we temper our wager and expectations accordingly.

The computer sees a 60% chance of victory for the San Jose Sharks with 3.5 stars of value in the line. I think this is a high-value play, and were the Sharks playing better hockey we’d be all over this one. Instead, we go in with caution for a small wager with low confidence here.

I know we just featured the LA Kings, but with a Stanley Cup rematch on the line here I can’t think of a better game. Both teams have been pretty hot, both teams are anchored in goaltending, and this looks like a fun match up. AFC Playoffs Predictions, 2015: Denver Broncos vs New England Patriots, Manning Brady

2015 NFL Playoffs Predictions AFC: Patriots Broncos, Manning Brady

I may be rooting for a Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady rematch. It’s pretty much my favorite thing about the AFC. The New England Patriots are a symbol of consistency and losing to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl, while the Denver Broncos have reloaded in the past couple years. The first round is full of exciting match ups, including one of the best rivalries in football between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.

6. Baltimore Ravens OVER 3. Pittsburgh Steelers

It’s hard to cast off a championship pedigree like that of the Ravens, but this is a completely different team. The defense is younger and not nearly as dominant and Joe Flacco doesn’t have any weapons on the outside. The Steelers have been one of the best teams at home this year. Big Ben has been great at home… but with Le’Veon Bell I don’t see how Pittsburgh  ...
