MLB Picks: Chicago Cubs at LA Dodgers, ABC Progression

MLB Picks: Chicago Cubs at LA Dodgers ABC Progression

It’s rare that I feel some hesitation with a game that so perfectly fits my system. It might be due to the fact that neither team has a top pitcher going for them, making this series feel a little bit funny. Either way, all parameters are satisfied, and trusting my system I follow it despite a little bit of hesitation. We’ll go a little smaller than usual as a result, but we’re still in for an ABC chase progression on this series.

The LA Dodgers are burning hot, winning five in  ...

MLB Picks Contest: Final Standings, Chicago Cubs Vs Colorado Rockies

MLB Picks Contest ($100 Prize): Winner, Final Standings, Cubs Rockies

Congratulations to both Alex Dionne and Duane Atkinson on amazing contest results. I’ve never seen anything like it – double the wins of any of our next closest competitors. A tip of the hat to you both, you killed it!

Alas, there could only be one winner. With both guys settled in at nine wins and choosing opposing teams, Duane pulled off an extra innings victory as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Colorado Rockies to secure his free $100 prize as our contest winner. Duane, please send us a private message with your paypal information.

Here are our final standings. Let’s hope we can put up more of a fight in the next one. Considering the coin flip nature of these games, a blowout like this was truly the first of its kind by these two. I look forward to hosting the next $100 contest with all of you. Remember, it’s  ...

MLB Picks Contest ($100 Prize): Colorado Rockies at Chicago Cubs

MLB Picks Contest: Colorado Rockies at Chicago Cubs

Our MLB Picks contest will come to an end today and either Duane or Alex will come away with a $100 prize. Alex is on the Rockies, Duane is on the Cubs, and our computer is conflicted. MLB Picks: Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros ABC Progression

MLB Picks: Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros ABC Progression

We featured the Athletics against the Astros at home last week and they won our progression. I expect more of the same here as the best team in the AL plays one of the worst. I’m going to try not to think too much about this series and just go with the progression. It seems too good to be true.

The line is a little sharp, the pitching match ups are probably the best Houston could hope for, the Astros are home, and the Athletics lineup seems to come and go, lacking  ...

MLB Picks Contest ($100 Prize): Colorado Rockies at Chicago Cubs

MLB Picks Contest: Colorado Rockies at Chicago Cubs

Tuesday, July 29th

An interesting matchup for what could be our final round of this version of the contest. Again, in the event of a tie at ten wins it goes to a blind overtime. If not, we continue playing until one player has ten wins. Remember, this is for the $100 prize so offer your opinions, cheer on our top two, or try to sneak up from behind! Two bad teams here in a volatile matchup in Chicago. Who ya got? Simply comment on this post pinned to the top of our  ...

MLB Picks: St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs

MLB Picks: St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs, ABC Opportunity

I like a progression here on the Cardinals. I think theyre the better team and I like their pitching. I know theyre struggling, I Know they’re on the road, and I know they’re playing their rivals, but I think they come alive here.

I feel confident in this one, and so does the computer. I’m on the A bet for a unit with a chase through the series if we lose. The computer likes this one as well, with a strong ML chance to win at 57% and 3.5 stars  ...
