NHL Picks and Predictions: Featured Hockey Game – Edmonton Oilers at Dallas Stars
The Stars have their goalie back, and look out.
They have offense with Jamie Benn, Jaromir Jagr, and big name, big role players performing well. They have defense with players like Alex Goligosky. Now, they have Kari Lehtonen back.
The Dallas Stars may be one of the best teams in hockey this year if they can find some consistency. They can beat anyone, and they have no real holes. A solid offense, a good defense, and a great goalie (usually), means big things when they’re healthy.
The Edmonton Oilers are young and inconsistent. With their backup goalie injured, it could be a tough stretch for the Oilers. On the road, they’re at a disadvantage. With a nice line, I really like the Stars and this is, for once, one of my bigger plays (I have four big bets or so today in my forum).
Z-Code gives 3.5 stars of support and a 65% chance for ML victory, meaning all parameters are in line for a decent sized bet.
Obviously we have some reservations about a newly returning goalie after injury, and the inconsistency of the teams involved… still – everything seems in order for a nice play here.
Dallas Stars 4 – Oilers 2
The only reason to hesitate is the sharp line reversal z-code picks up.
