Clemson head into the new season as the reigning NCAA National Champions. The Tigers head into the NCAA football 2019 season as the No. 1 team in the nation. Of course, the Tigers’ biggest rivals, the Alabama Crimson Tide, will have plenty to say about the title this season once more. The Crimson Tide head into the season as the No. 2 team in the nation.
NCAA Football 2019 – Trends going into this season
Only three NCAA teams have won the National Championship since the current format was created. The modern National Championship Game was drafted in to play in 2014 with Ohio State winning the inaugural game.
Since then, Alabama and Clemson have split the last four NCAA National titles.

Bleacher Report ranked the top 10 most difficult schedules in the NCAA football season. Of the top six teams in terms of sportsbook odds, only the Michigan Wolverines have one of the 10 most difficult schedules.
Michigan’s schedule sees them play: Middle Tennessee, Army, BYE, at Wisconsin, Rutgers, Iowa, at Illinois, at Penn State, Notre Dame, at Maryland, BYE, Michigan State, at Indiana, Ohio State
It is a difficult schedule especially with the final three games against MSU, Indiana, and Ohio State.
The Florida Gators, who are considered an outside chance at winning the National Championship also have one of the top 10 most difficult schedules.
Florida’s schedule sees them play: Miami (in Orlando), Tennessee-Martin, at Kentucky, Tennessee, Towson, Auburn, at LSU, at South Carolina, BYE, vs. Georgia (in Jacksonville), Vanderbilt, at Missouri, BYE, Florida State
Still, outside of Michigan, the top six teams in bookies’ odds do not have schedules ranked as top 10 most difficult. Due to this, you can expect at least one or two of the teams with the best futures odds to be in the NCAA Championship Playoffs.
