2016 NFL Week 12- Four Games to Bet from Zcode

We went 3/3 with our Thanksgiving day picks if you read that article on Thursday. Lets keep chugging along and finish this week strong.

Patriots at Jets

The Patriots are taking on the Jets in New York this weekend and the line currently has New England as 7.5 poiint favorites. We at Z-code like buying the line to -7 if your bookie will let you and here’s why we think they’ll cover: The Patriots don’t lose to teams like the Jets and the Jets don’t beat teams like the Patriots. Its no secret that the Jets have struggled on offense all year long. The loss of Eric Decker was devastating and without him they just can’t seem to get Brandon Marshall involved like they need him to be- that and Ryan Fitzpatrick can’t stop throwing the ball to the other team. Matt Forte has been their only saving grace on that side of the ball and Bellechick will see to it that the Pats shut him down. Furthermore, the Jets’ defense just hasn’t been the brick wall we’ve seen in the last few years. Revis Island has been a lovely place for wide receivers to spend the weekend and we think Tom Brady will have no trouble shredding this secondary. The Patriots are a top tier offense and a solid defense. Expect them to score a ton of points early and for this game to run away from the Jets by the 3rd quarter.

Patriots -7

Panthers at Raiders

This game is a must-win for the Panthers who are grasping at straws to keep some semblance of playoff hope alive in the NFC South. The Raiders, on the other hand, are fighting tooth and nail to maintain their lead in the far more competitive AFC West. There’s no question that the Raiders are the better team here. This is a big game for both teams, but the pressure to keep the Chiefs and Broncos at bay will likely be much more than the pressure to try and get above .500 while simultaneously hoping the other 3 teams in your division lose basically all the rest of their games. We love the Raiders here and at -3 their offense can easily cover this.

Raiders -3

49ers at Dolphins

The Dolphins are in the mix for a wild-card battle and the 49ers are hoping to finish the season with more wins than Cleveland. While Kaepernick has performed well since getting the starting job, he has almost nothing to work with and won’t be able to get this done on his own. Regardless, Jay Ajayi should have no trouble running all over this 32nd ranked defense. Expect a slow brutal death for San Francisco here that involves somewhere in the realm of 200 total yards for Ajayi.

Dolphins -7

Bengals at Ravens

The Bengals are essentially irrelevant in terms of playoff-picture but losing star WR AJ Green and pass-catching specialist Gio Bernard won’t do anything to help them finish the season strong. Injuries have decimated this offense and the defense is in the bottom 8 in the league. AJ green has no one to throw to outside of Tyler Eiffert and the Ravens no that. Furthermore, Baltimore is the second best team in the league in defendiing agains the TE position, allowing only one touchdown to opposing TEs all year. Expect the Ravens defense which we currently rank as number 2 in the NFL to shut the Bengals down and look for Flaco to do what’s necessary to win this game.

Ravens -3
