2015 NBA Finals Game Two Prediction: Cavs Warriors

NBA Finals Game Two Predictions: Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors

As much as I wanted LeBron James to get another championship, my mind and wallet got the better of my heart and we moved forward with a series prediction on the Golden State Warriors. After a great win in Game One, I just don’t know if the Cleveland Cavaliers have what it takes to compete with such a great team. While LeBron James can beat anyone by himself (and I truly believe that), if his 44 points in Game One weren’t enough, what is? And can he do it without Kyrie Irving?

The Cavs might very well respond and keep this one close, but I think they’re completely overmatched here. It’s the best player in the world and a team of misfits against the best team in the NBA. While I identify with that storyline (I used to be really good at sports but my teammates were usually terrible – I’m looking at you Bobby Ranft.), I don’t think there’s much hope here for Cleveland.

The computer likes the Cavs to cover, but I worry about the algorithm’s ability to adjust to the injuries on the Cavs roster. The money line is sharp for the Golden State Warriors, but with a 77% chance of victory I think that’s the safer play for us here. At home, I can’t see the Warriors taking a step back here. Throat to the jugular, championship on the horizon.
