Featuring Dave (Dundee) and his 35 unit profit system

1. Hi Dave! Please tell us more about yourself, where are you from?

Hi guys!!  Ok so I am born and raised in Australia. Currently living at the foot of the Blue Mountains which is located west of Sydney. This is a stunning pic I took of The Three Sisters!!

I am 35 years young and have 3 beautiful children to a previous marriage. Children are aged 11 Austin, 7 Lily and 4 Lucas and they are wonderful children as any bias parent would say! 😉 I am currently in a long distance relationship and have been for over 2-1/2 years with a beautiful women who you see in the pic above and we will be having a beautiful baby girl at the end of April which is also the reason I will be travelling to Fort Worth Texas in a couple of weeks and residing for the next couple of months.

My working life started early at the young age of 16 when I decided that school was not my thing so my parents told me the only way I was able to leave school was to get an apprenticeship, Knowing that I probably wouldn’t put the effort in to finding a job my parents thought that I would stay in school…….. hehehe how wrong they were, I was so ready to be earning my own income I jumped in to the working world as fast as possible. Looking for the first opportunity to start working  I applied for a job as an apprentice butcher on the same day that I representative duties for Harold Mathews football ( Rugby League ) in the district.

Missing the footy was hard but I landed the apprenticeship so that was more important. After I Completed my 4 year apprenticeship with outstanding results I then decided that that type of work was not stretching my abilities enough so I bumbed around in casual jobs looking at different industries and what they had to offer me and found myself working for a company where I undertook an adult apprenticeship in the Higher Engineering Trades ( HET ) which basically means I studied 2 trades at 1 time. The main trade is an Industrial Electrician and the secondary trade to it is a Fitter Machinist. It took me another 4 years of apprenticeship with full 4 years of tertiary education to complete but this was easier than doing 2 separate 4 years’ worth of training so I crammed 6 years of tertiary training into 4! My role is as a plant Electrician where we take care of all the electrical needs of the manufacturing environment from plant lighting and power to fault finding, diagnosis and rectification of complex manufacturing automated machinery through PLC logic.

Absolutely love this type of work because it forces you to constantly think outside the box to find and fix problems, it keeps me on my toes especially when you are under pressure to perform!!

 >> 2. How did you start your sports investing career?

It all started when I was very young when my father would have me down at the local pub pretty much every weekend and he would let me place bets on horses and also enter into the weekly Saturday horse tipping comp. It was an awesome experience to beat the older guys there who would generally make their selections on a Thursday or Friday night when their senses were not all there hehehe which generally meant added advantage for me. If I won I would pay my dad back the entry fee of $5 which was all he wanted because it generally meant I didn’t pester him for money for the Pinball machine or the Pool tables. I also as a 12 yr. old boy pay in the local pool comp when I was able to and did pretty well there also.

Once again the older guys generally got upset when a kid sharked them out of their money!!! J. In recent years working so much and constantly seeing a large portion of your money go to government taxes each year is probably the most frustrating thing you can see happen, I would say that there is no one that would argue against that!!! So working out how I could earn a tax free income while not destroying my body anymore I looked to the sports investing world. I have always had a love for sports. Playing rugby league through my teenager years as well as playing indoor soccer, a sort period of playing AFL (Australian Football) for my school as well as many other sports for fun.

 3. Your totals system and U 3.5 made over 35 units of profit so far.
Please tell us more about your system?

What can I say about the system. It is not overly complex but it works and the filtering process is very strict so as a whole should never really experience long draw downs and the Money Management I have set up for it is very soft, it takes longer to regain losses but as we have already see it experiences decent runs of wins so I am 100% confident that it will continue to profit long term.

The U3.5 Parlay system was not a new idea within Zcode Community and I know nothing of the filtering system used by others but what I do know is there is more than 1 way to skin a cat so to speak lol!!!

 >> 4. What sports are you covering? Do you also plan to cover MLB?

1 system last year that I covered for MLB was purely based on under dogs. The criteria was to find the shortest priced under dog for the day and that was your selection. Completely a progression system and it produced great results. Although I cannot say if this would have been a great system as I don’t have the ability to back test it. I also did the same for NBA last season with the same effect investing purely on the money line for both systems. Unfortunately it was a massive failure with NHL but when you are tracking your systems you can see what is working and what isn’t so I was lucky enough to drop the NHL system before it became too costly.

The great thing about being part of the Zcode community now with all the tools here I am hoping to get a better understanding the various codes available to us all and hopefully can produce some great results to share with this wonderful community.

 >> 5. What are your suggestions when analysing the games? What factors
 are the most important?

Don’t stress out as there are many factors that go in to analysing games and there are many different approaches used. I think if your gut feel is telling you 1 thing and your selection process is telling you another then that is a big “NO BET”. I do not invest just to get action. If I am having a hard time with selecting games on the day I will leave it alone or I will follow other dedicated experts who I know have put just as much effort in to their selections as I do. Reading their reasoning’s will give my selections an added bonus or kill the selection.

 >> 6. What is the main difference in analysing totals vs analysing
 Money line winners?

I believe different codes need a different set of rules. This is not 1 criteria fits all unfortunately. There is absolutely no way I could present the criteria for NBA that I use for soccer. I could tweak the system for NHL possibly because it is about a small amount of goals scored but atm I have not done this. Possibly a system I can work on during the off season for NHL!!!

7. What zcode Tools do you use daily?

>> This all depends on once the Vegas market is set. If I see a specific game total that can be exploited I will go and use the totals predictor, use the head to head and look at the team total combined last 6 and also look at the comment by the various other experts in the commentary under the games and spam the wall for info also as some experts do not post under the games. If I think a spread it too high for a specific team I will go look at the oscillator and see if they are covering the spreads at home or away. I also use the ELO ratings as a part of filtering if needed in a game analysis. The important thing to remember is not to think you have to look at every single game and analyse it, I prefer to look for an early indicator to a spread or a total then look deeper.

 >> 8. Your tips to the fans and followers.

My advice is to believe that you can be better every single day. Believe in yourself and work hard at sitting slightly outside your comfort zone. Getting too comfy will lead to complacency and that’s where you will fall. Implement good sound money management to your bank roll and you will sustain longevity in the sports investing industry. Listen and learn from some of the sharpest minds in the industry which Zcode has to offer. Above all else is to enjoy what you are doing, don’t bog down in losses as a negative mindset will keep you revolving in the same circle. The idea is to break bad habits/cycles and in doing this you will be greatly rewarded not only from a financial point of view but also in life.

Wishing everyone the best that life can offer you and all the happiness that may come along with it…. After all we don’t get that much time on this MUD BALL so please make the most of it!!!
