It’s obvious February hockey is giving a hard time to all sports investors around the world, even Zcode has got a tough week. Today we took a short interview with our friend Mark Donatiello, an expert NHL capper from the Faster Times who is picking winners for years.
We got a tough week. How are you doing in February Mark?
Tough start to February. I’ve been making small wagers and hitting all my big bets, but this is ridiculous I’m like 4-9, missed the first day of the month where I would have been 1-4, and I’m lucky to be up the nine dollars I’ve won this week haha
Yeah it’s disappointing. The results are getting totally random or just opposite. How long does the cold streak like that usually last?

and teams start to make moves at the trade deadline so bad teams’ best players want to prove their worth so they’ll be traded.

and everything gets a little messy. Focus on the races a little bit more and it usually begins to sort itself out.
But it always gets ugly in February and April. March and January are very profitable, usually, once the deadline passes at the end of February.
Yeah.. we might be just need to stick to the plan and eat losses waiting
for better tomorrow?
I wouldn’t tweak a profitable algorithm… All I would do if I was you guys… put your gut feeling onto the picks… “it’s a five star pick for the Ducks but we need to be careful because the line is very high and the Blue Jackets are playing much better, pretending to be a mediocre team of late. The Ducks are cooling off, so I would be conservative here”

Cold streaks like this never last for long, but it’s important to recognize them early and try to move on from losses. Don’t try to get your money back all in one day in the same way that you didn’t make all your profit in one day. Stick to the system and everything turns around quickly. My advice is just to be aware of the standings and emotion involved in each team right now and try to account for it in the amount you wager. Stick to the system though, and everything will turn around. It always does!
