<h1> NHL Playoffs Picks: Anaheim Ducks at Winnipeg Jets M</h1>
The Anaheim Ducks got lucky. End of story. Ondrej Pavelec is the hottest goalie in hockey right now and the Ducks won Game Two because of a missed too many men on the ice call followed soon after by a missed holding the stick call behind the net seconds before that same player got free to score the game winner with 20 seconds to go. Literally, the game-winning goal was scored because a Ducks player fell, pulled the Jets player down to the ice by hooking his stick under his arm, got back up, came clean to the dot, and fired one past Ondrej Pavelec.
Don’t get me wrong, that was my biggest bet of the playoffs and I’m super excited about it, but I don’t like the way this one looks as it shifts back to Winnipeg. Hot goaltending and a crazy hometown crowd out for vengeance after a very obvious missed call… I expect winnipeg to get the breaks Anaheim got in the beginning of this series and I don’t know if the ducks will take this one… They’re the better team and they can certainly score in bunches, I don’t know how Pavelec will do under pressure in front of a raucous crowd, and I have this team picked to go all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals… but I have my doubts about Game Three based on how this series has gone in Anaheim so far.
Still, strictly from a betting perspective, they’re the better team and theres some value here… just not enough for me to jump back in. I’ll take my 3.5 units on the first two games, go to a bank, tell them to give me that entire prize in quarters, and count my money while i watch this game in order to resist the urge of such a tempting line.
Why give it back? This game is going to be crazy and with the way Pavelec is playing I want nothing to do with Game three. Go ducks, quack quack, I’ve got a series bet on them… but nothing for me here on the road. I’ve made my money on this series and just want to see Anaheim close it out.
