NHL Picks and Predictions: Ottawa Senators at New Jersey Devils
Ottawa played a great game on Monday and they have looked sharp in just about every other contest this month haha. Their scoring is inconsistent, and I don’t think they’re going to finish the year in the hunt. Right now, they’re battling for .500
The Devils are playing well. They played a tight game with the Penguins that they should have won if not for a horrific first period. They played a tight game with the Blue jackets that they should have won if not for a horrific third period. They played a great game against tampa that they dominated throughout, led by Martin BRodeur’s incredible 30+ save shutout.
Basically, the Devils fail to play a consistent game for 60 minutes, and the Senators fail to play a consistent game every other game they play. You’ve got a couple volatile teams here. Devils are home, desperate, and playing a mediocre team. That’s usually a game they win, but the Sens always give NJ trouble. Z-Code likes the dog value. My lean is NJ
I just don’t have much confidence here. Yes, Devils look okay in bursts, but I don’t know about this game. Could go either way. I know that I’ve hit 7 consecutive “over 10 minutes” first goal prop bets by taking a couple games off but betting it a lot… and this looks like another good time for it.
