NHL Picks: Columbus Blue Jackets at New York Rangers
With the NCAA BCS Championship, I’m not betting very aggressively on hockey today. I know I won’t really be watching the games, and I know my attention will be on football. That said, I like this line.
The New York Rangers have played very predictable hockey over their last four games, and we’ve predicted those outcomes successfully four times in a row. We knew the Penguins, hot as they were, would probably beat up on New York. We also liked New York to win games against inferior opponents in the other three. Here, we put that streak on the line and recognize another winnable game at home for the Rags.
New York hosts a team that has trouble scoring, which plays into their excellent defensive match ups. Also, the Rangers offense is clicking. Z-Code likes the over in this one, expecting some goals. I concur.
