NHL Picks and Predictions – Washington Capitals at Tampa Bay Lightning.
Ah, the dreaded conflicting parameters signal, which we’ve learned means that it’s best to stay away from!
The Z-Code algorithm gives 4 1/2 stars of value in the Washington Capitals line, but also predicts in another parameter that the Tampa Bay Lightning are 2:1 favorites to win tonight. When the computer picks up different trends and analyzes two different outcomes, it’s best to run away… usually.
I, as always, betting every game like I do, will have some fun with this one.
The Washington Capitals have turned things around because their offense has erupted of late. Goaltending remains an issue, but they continue to drive up the score against quality opponents as they attempt to climb from the depths of the EAstern Conference.
The Tampa Bay Lightning offense has gone dry recently, leaving average goaltending and sub-standard defense to fend for itself. I think the Caps will explode again tonight.
WHile the Lightning certainly can go goal for goal with Ovi and co, I think the Caps have an advantage here. As underdogs, that’s enough for a low confidence play from me.
