NBA Featured Game and Free $100 Facebook Contest Game: Boston Celtics at Chicago Bulls

With a spread of less than two points, it looks like we picked a great one for our Facebook competition. No screen shot today (new computer, no software for it just yet), but I’ll explain everything you need to know in text. Voters seem to favor the Bulls, but I’m on the Boston Celtics.

The Chicago Bulls are

 home, but they’re in the second game of a back to back and their offense struggled when healthy. Given the defensive nature of the Boston Celtics and their fantastic coaching and leadership, I do not see the Bulls finding a way to suddenly score against Boston. I trust Boston to contain Chicago’s mediocre scorers, and I expect Boston to play with more energy than a tired Bulls team.

Secondly, Boston has the scoring and the depth to break through the mighty Chicago defense. The Bulls are certainly a great defensive team, but the Celtics are so very balanced. They’re strong in the paint with Kevin Garnett, they’ve got a scorer in Paul Pierce, and the Celtics sport arguably the best point guard in basketball with Rajon Rondo. I think that’s more than enough to win on the road against a tired Bulls team without Derek Rose.

Z-Code sees no value in this game. The prediction is a one-star, 52% moneyline output on the Bulls. Z-Code recommends staying away from this game. Hell, that’s why we picked it for our contest. While it’s not a fun game to put money on, it’s a great game to put pride and bragging rights on in our fifth game of the competition.

I’m going to put a small bet in on Boston to win this one outright.
