MLB Picks: San Francisco Giants vs LA Dodgers
I love Sunday Night Baseball, and this is one of the most intense rivalries in sports as two New York transplants to battle on the west coast. The San Francisco Giants have had a decent year so far, but they’ve been remarkably inconsistent. The LA Dodgers have had some trouble with injuries, but on the verge of being swept by the San Francisco Giants – can they find a way to win here?
The computer likes the underdog value here. Personally, I’m not going to touch this one for its volatility. That said, there is a pitching edge to the road team, five-star underdog value, a nice momentum shift, and a big stage for the Giants to make a real statement. I like the Giants in this one.
The over also looks good as a hedge. The Dodgers have been hitting and both games in this series have gone over in Giants wins. I think you’ll see a tighter game, and I think that 7.5 is a reasonable spread here. The computer gives it a 57% chance of hitting, which has some value to it at -110.
I won’t be getting too aggressive here, but the computer likes this one. Sweep resistance makes us nervous on a grand stage, but i’ll follow the computer for this post and go with a hedged over bet with the San Francisco Giants keeping it close with high underdog value.
