MLB Picks: New York Yankees at Cleveland Indians
I liked the Tanaka matchup yesterday, but the Yankee bats are a little cold. I also like this matchup with a newly acquired pitcher going against a middling AL Central team.
McCarthy hasn’t been great this year, but the Yankees see something in him that they didn’t see in Vlad Nuno before dealing him to the NL. I think McCarthy, on the road and away from the short porches he’s used to struggling with in Arizona and now New York, should be able to silence the Cleveland bats.
I see tremendous underdog value on the Yankees, as they look to bounce back from a loss with their ace on the hill. I think they’ll do that, and the computer recognizes some of the value here as well.
