MLB Picks: LA Dodgers at Miami Marlins
It’s a tough line, but I think if you’re going to invest in a heavy favorite on the road you better have Zack Greinke on the mound. This play really comes down to whether the Miami Marlins can hit one of the best pitchers in the league and the LA Dodgers’ true ace this season so far.
Quite frankly, with Stanton injured, I just don’t see how Miami can keep up. There’s a stud on the mound and the vastly superior team is looking to rebound. Most teams don’t take out both Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke in a single weekend, but if the Marlins do, more power to them. I can’t see it. I think the LA Dodgers bounce back in a big way in this matinee contest.
The computer agrees. Despite the sharp line, the computer algorithm still shows four stars of value. There’s a little bit of a conflict in the algorithm with only a 56% chance of victory for the Dodgers here, but I still like it.
When the much better team is coming off a surprising loss, has their ace on the mound, and plays a weak team, I think you have to jump in. It fits the system.
