I’m on the Rangers for the purposes of our contest, and I’m not putting money on this one in real life. The Orioles and Rangers are two evenly matched teams with two bad pitchers on mound. Neither team has any momentum, both lineups are lethal, and this game can go any way. The Rangers have no value in the line on the road, but they do appear to have a slight edge in Z-Code analysis in terms of value (despite no edge in my system).
Z-Code has a low-confidence pick on the road dogs here. They are getting a reasonable line considering the talent of the roster and the caliber of pitching they’re going against. Still, they have their own pitching issues to deal with and this could be a wild one.
3 stars, nearly 60% chance of winning… slightly conflicted parameters, but a decent signal for a fun bet in our competition, right? We’re still unbeaten since the hockey season ended, but I don’t like this one as a system play.
