MLB Picks and Predictions 9/18: New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays
The Yankees have owned the Jays this year, but they’re mired in a year-end slump that could end their push for the playoffs.
It’s been a horrible season for the Yankees. Injuries took away New York’s chances early on, but they battled through. Just when they looked like they were turning a corner in a tight wild card race, injuries seem to have hit them too hard once more.
When you look at this Yankees lineup, it’s just not the same team we thought they were. Then again, neither are the Jays.
The Toronto Blue Jays had high expectations with key acquisitions like RA Dickey and Jose Reyes that simply didn’t pan out. The Yankees have owned this dysfunctional team, and you have to think, backs to the walls, if theyre going to make a stand this may be it.
Z-Code hates this game. There is absolutely no signal for this one, and the line suggests coin flip odds at best. Still, with the Yankee matchups being so favorable despite their slump, this seems to be it if they’re going to rebound. In one last act of solidarity, I’m on the Yankees here in a toss up!
