MLB Picks and Predictions: Pittsburgh Pirates at Texas Rangers
Z-Code and I are in an epic battle in this one so I figured I’d feature it on the main page. Normally, when Z-Code and I disagree, it’s a good sign to stay away from a game. I’d have to continue with that advice on this game, but it’s fun to take a look at.
Z-Code likes the Pirates. With full five-star support on the underdog, the play looks to have some value. Still, Burnett is slumping and there’s sweep resistance here. I don’t trust AJ Burnett to snap out of it all of a sudden, and I think the momentum edge isn’t strong enough. The Rangers are the better team, cold as they are, and at home they should be fighting extra hard.
Sweep resistance is a key factor for me and it makes this game extremely dangerous. The odds of the Rangers, cold as they, sleepwalking through this entire series are very low.
Again, Burnett is extremely cold and Garza is prepared for a stretch run here. The Rangers still indeed have a lot to play for. This is exciting.
I’m on the Rangers with a lot to play for, sweep resistance, a pitching edge, and value in the line. I’m nervous about Z-Code support favoring Pittsburgh, and if anything I suggest a no bet, but I like Texas.
