After a convincing win in Houston, it certainly seems like a possibility.The New York Knicks are heating up after winning four in a row. Despite an injury to Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks continue to score. THey also have found a way to commit to defense for the first time since Patrick Ewing manned the paint. In what has been a historic start to the Knicks’ season, the Knicks have proven themselves to be a contender in the East.

Still, it is impossible not to question the decision to let Jeremy Lin go. Lin sparked a season-saving run when the Knicks were falling apart, lifted the Knicks through injuries to their superstars, and led New York back to basketball relevance before falling to a knee injury during a short playoff run. Despite Jason Kidd and Ray Felton playing well, letting Lin walk will certainly be questioned all season and was the headline of the offseason in New York.

THe line is not yet posted, but in an emotional, volatile game at the Garden, it’s probably best to stay away. I can’t say I recommend touching this ugly Monday Night Football game either.
