Jake, I’m quite sure about your bankroll management after looking at your recent spreadsheet, but I need a confirmation.
I read you talked about a 100 unit bankroll. Usually in the betting community a unit is a dinamic 1% of the bankroll, but it looks like you use a fixed unit no matter what (let’s say 100 euros for a 10,000 euros bankroll) you decide at the beginning of the year. Aren’t you scared of betting 1,000 euros more after you’ve seen your bankroll cut down by, let’s say, 2,500 after a bad streak?
This is a very fair point, few weeks ago I’ve decided that once we hit 50 units profit this season I will cut back on the stakes as the 50 units will be added to the 100 units (so if you have 10,000$ and you made $5,000 profit, then your 100 unit bankroll will be 15,000$.
While using percentages is a more viable option in a system like this, I want to make it easier for the community (or believe I do). However it would be best to do a poll to see if people prefer to bet with % or units.
Saying that we’ve lost 25 units, we could be down 40 units on a system but they always bounce back for me, I have great confidence in the system. I’ve been here on zCode since 2013 and each year we come out of the season with profits.
