It is a pick for the PGA Tour golf tournament “Deutsche Bank Championship” and it begins Friday morning around 7:00 AM EST and the winner is crowned on Monday afternoon. So it is a tournament long bet for him to win, paying out 38/1.
JIM FURYK 38 to 1
Furyk very well could be the hottest golfer on the PGA Tour right now. He has Top 10 finishes in each of his past four tournaments ( RBC Canadian Open – T9, WGC – Bridgestone – T9, PGA Championship – 2nd, The Barclays – T6). Jim plays the game his own way, focusing on precision instead of power. He ranks 6th on Tour for Driving Accuracy Percentage, and only 173rd for Driving Distance. Hitting from the short grass in the fairway has allowed Jim to hit plenty of greens and rank 18th on Tour in Scoring Average. He is also a very good putter, and extremely talented from 10-15 feet, where he ranks 6th on Tour. Jim should be excited when he steps foot on the first tee at TPC Boston on Thursday. Over his career he has been near the top of the leaderboard here a lot and it has result in some excellent finishes. He has five Top 15’s in his eight starts at this tournament, and will look to get that elusive win this week. Jim will need to keep his nerves in check when he is contention on Sunday, as this has caused him to miss out on a handful on tournaments over the past two seasons.
