The computer has me a little bit nervous here. They see no value on the Dodgers, they see almost a 50/50 coin flip despite the -200 odds, and they expect the game to go over. I expect it to be a grind with clear value on Clayton Kershaw. And so it goes…

I don’t see the Brewers coming into LA and beating the Dodgers twice in a row with their two best pitchers. Greinke got tired and the game slipped away from the Dodgers yesterday, but I expect them to bounce  ...

All right! Round 1 is behind us and you rocks! I am really happy how many contenders started and I really hope some new guys will join in next rounds! With bombs and nukes you can easily recover round 1! This time most profitable pick in the contest were Kansas City Royals, Reds and Dodgers in Sunday! They paid really good! On the opposite pole we had Tigers who blew solid margin! Well, they are rather a kittens at the moment…

This is the first round of our next MLB Picks Contest, featuring a $150 prize to the first participant to reach ten wins and a $50 prize for the person who gets there second. The contest is free to join, simply comment on this post to participate.

The Tigers and Pirates are two evenly matched teams with similar records. It’s an inter league game, which always adds a little volatility to the matchup. Further, if the Tigers do have a slight roster edge, it’s mitigated by having to travel to Pittsburgh to face the Pirates on their home turf. Get used to it, most of the games we feature will be very difficult, just like this.
