We featured the Athletics against the Astros at home last week and they won our progression. I expect more of the same here as the best team in the AL plays one of the worst. I’m going to try not to think too much about this series and just go with the progression. It seems too good to be true.

The line is a little sharp, the pitching match ups are probably the best Houston could hope for, the Astros are home, and the Athletics lineup seems to come and go, lacking  ...

I like a progression here on the Cardinals. I think theyre the better team and I like their pitching. I know theyre struggling, I Know they’re on the road, and I know they’re playing their rivals, but I think they come alive here.

I feel confident in this one, and so does the computer. I’m on the A bet for a unit with a chase through the series if we lose. The computer likes this one as well, with a strong ML chance to win at 57% and 3.5 stars  ...

This is incredible. I’ve never seen two people rise to the top like this edition of the contest. Coin flip after coin flip, Duane and Alex continue to impress. After a thumping in game one, the Toronto Blue Jays bounced back and knocked off the Boston Red Sox. With split results, here is the latest update to our standings. Remember, first to ten gets $100, and if there’s a tie we’ll go to an extra round of blind picks overtime where each player submits selections by private message, which is always a lot of fun. Well, this is how we want them to shake up, right? So many variables, so much to look at, and a coin flip line with conflicted computer parameters. Contest games are supposed to be just like this, and I’m always happy when I find them a week in advance. Good luck.

The Computer sees five-star value on the road dog here, but I don’t see it and find obvious conflict in the parameters here. The parameters are in conflict as they are less than 50% likely to win, and this is  ...

I still view the Yankees as a liability right now. They’ve suffered key injuries in a rotation that was supposed to be anchored in experience and deep. The lineup is old and fragile, and nobody is really performing how they are supposed to.

That said, guys like Carlos Beltran are starting to get hot and consistent veteran players like Derek Jeter and Ichiro have steadied the storm. This is a crucial stretch for the Yankees, not just this week but going forward. Young arms have filled the holes left by the big-name pitchers  ...

Clayton Kershaw is unstoppable and he’s a hard guy to bet against. In fact, as a rule, I don’t do it. The question for me here is whether or not the line allows us to support him against a top team like the St. Louis Cardinals, particularly when the LA Dodgers have been so inconsistent.

The computer and I are in agreement here in that this game doesn’t have any value. I don’t bet against Kershaw, so I’m off this one, but the computer is on the Cardinals. Five-star  ...
