NHL Update – First week recap – Highly Successful start to the NHL season.

I know my featured games haven’t been off to their usual exciting pace, but our season in the VIP Club has been doing well. Despite a comparably low win rate to years before, medium and high confidence plays have carried us through some unpredictable days. Last night we went 3-1 on game winner picks and 2-0 on over/underpredictions. We got the score right on the Penguins Leafs game, we just had the teams reversed.

Canada is a great place to live…except between November and April..unless you love winter sports!  As a kid we spent all our time playing sports outside (no computers, no internet, no facebook, no twitter, no playstation etc.), but now I prefer to stay safe indoors when it’s really bad. Canada is a lot like the States….but without the guns.

100 DOLLAR FACEBOOK CHALLENGE: NBA PICKS —

Man, you guys are incredible. In a pick’em game with literally no spread, only four of you got it wrong. After forcing the action a bit on Danilo and using insider information, we were able to challenge our leader to pick his favorite team. He fell short as his home Suns fell apart late, which opens the door for everyone in our competition. There’s still plenty of time and this is anyone’s game. NHL Preseason Picks and Predictions: Hockey’s Playoff Teams 2013

The NHL season is finally upon us, which means we get to finally outline predictions for the upcoming hockey season.  We’ll do each conference, and predict which teams will make the playoffs.  Last year, Z-Code was one of the only professional prediction services to have the Devils making the Stanley Cup Final.  Let’s see if we can do it again this year:

Western Conference:

1. Vancouver Canucks:  How do you bet against these guys?  They return a stud goaltender and some of the best scorers in hockey.  They have a two-way team that can dominate a game.  The Canucks will be great again.

2. St. Louis Blues:  The Blues have the best goaltending tandem in hockey.  This team is built for another playoff run.

3. LA Kings:  In the worst division in hockey, the Kings should be able to win the division this year.  They made a Stanley Cup run last year as an 8th seed, but they won’t sneak  ...
