The Leafs have started the year at a good pace. Even without top free-agent signing David Clarkson, Toronto has been scoring. Their 44 goals lead the East, and they’ve climbed to the top of their division.

Balancing their attack, the goaltending tandem they’ve established has led them to a +14 goal differential. If only Brian Burke could see this team now.

The Calgary Flames have fallen off dramatically. They’ve lost two of three and four of their last six. Back home, they are playing considerably better. They’re also very well rested.  ...

WEEK 6 NFL Grand Cash Championship – RESULTS

Great week! Every team scored and we had second highest result with goals scored in a week in contest history. Both conferences scored 349 goals. Very interesting scenario in west this time. Mustangs need only 2 point to win conference and behind them there is huge battle for playoffs spot.

Expos 7 : 11 Quad Aces

Ouch! That is painfull scenario for Expos. They were leading before last game, but lost because Seahawks didn’t cover for Dexter (f.white42). This way both teams went with wins and 2 lost, but Aces took better odds and won by 4. Well played by  ...

Our highly successful MLB Facebook contest came down to the wire, requiring a tiebreaker round that continued all the way to an incredibly exciting Game Four of the World Series. Now that we’ve finished with our baseball contest, it’s time to announce another round of our free contests, the 2013 NHL edition.

As with our baseball contest, we’ll be posting a featured game just about every week. Simply comment on that game, which will usually be a challenging game to predict, with who you think will win. This is a moneyline only competition. The first contestant to correctly predict the outcome of ten specially selected games will win the $100 prize. You do not need to be a VIP member to participate (though it does seem to help – our winners through the years are very often members)!

I don’t trust the Seahawks on the road. I know they came through last week on a short week, but they don’t travel well. They make me nervous.

That said, they’re an elite team. Seattle has one of the best defenses in football – led by an aggressive secondary and incredible front seven depth. The offense is physical and a bruising running game wears teams down.

Also, the Rams are terrible.

I respect the hell out of Jeff Fisher, but I don’t see how he can pull  ...

-Okay.  I’m originally from Poland and moved with my family to west Germany at the age of 3. (I’m not so young as i look like . 27) As i remember it was 1994 when i have been infected with football virus  when Italy and Brazil played in the world cup final and Brazil  won 3:2 after penalties. It’s the first “soccer” match i remember.

I don’t feel comfortable betting such a big line on the road, and as such my only play here is a “Baromir Style” parlay on the moneyline for the Green Bay Packers.

The Vikings had a horrible performance last week as an ailing Adrian Peterson failed to get going early. Losing to a winless team is bad, but this is a divisional game on national television, and that usually keeps the score tight.

Z-Code and I have wildly different lines here. My book has +180, Z-Code has +150 or so. I think that makes some difference.

The Vancouver Canucks are too good a team to be this big of an underdog. I say this aware that they’re on the road and in a back to back. Normally, I would never touch a game like this. At this line, however, I think it’s worth a small wager on the Canucks.

The New York Giants are winless. Nobody saw it coming, but now that it’s here we can see why. They have no running game. They have a weak defense. The schedule hasn’t been particularly kind, and turnovers have killed the Giants.

The beauty of the Z-Code system, across all sports, is that it removes some of the emotion out of sports investing. If you can find a way to analyze this game without considering the highly emotional return of Peyton Manning to Indianapolis, I’d be impressed. I certainly can’t do it.

Manning had some glorious years is Indy, though he usually came up short in the big game. This is quite a big game. Will his jitters get the better of him, or will he dominate?

A great general rule is to never bet against Peyton Manning. A better rule is to never bet against him at night. He’s simply dominant.

I don’t think the Colts defense can shut down the Broncos here. They looked awful last week, they lack depth, and they’re battling injuries. I think the only play in  ...

Have there been two more disappointing teams this season than the Rangers and Devils? The whole Metropolitan Division is a mess, and these teams are no different.

I think it’s hard to deny the value on the Rangers here, even as a die-hard Devils fan. Henrik Lundqvist is a tough guy to bet against, though he seems distracted by his contract issues. The Rangers look like they’re having trouble adjusting to a new system, and they haven’t started well.
