I’m beginning to think the Caps just aren’t a good team. They seem to have an abundance of talent, or at least enough talent to keep them in the hunt, but they aren’t putting together wins, 10-13 ML on the year. They’re 5-4-3 at home and on a bit of a skid at the moment. Somehow, still, they’re fourth in the East and giving away some serious value on lines lately, as we continue to bet against them to some decent profits.

My Devils are off to a slow start. They’re flirting with .500, but the team looks slow and the goaltending looks fatigued. Maybe we shouldn’t have been so fast to cast Marty aside. NFL Picks: Denver Broncos at Kansas City ChiefsArrowhead is always a tough place to play. The Chiefs are on a nice stretch of great football, pulling within a game of the Denver Broncos for first in the division. Ultimately, with so many teams in the AFC currently with four losses, the winner of this game can pull a little bit further from the pack by securing a better chance at the division title.

That’s why I’m going with the Denver Broncos here. They’re a dog, so there’s a ton of value in the money line for me with this +1  ...

NFL Picks Contest ($200 in Prizes): Seahawks Win, Winners Finally Announced!Following a Thanksgiving Day domination of the San Francisco 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks delivered our second place prize to Lee Kal-El Clark. After a long run that began during the baseball season on our MLB Picks page and finished up here in Week 13 on our NFL Picks page, we finally have our winners. Congratulations to Pat O’Rielley and Lee Kal El Clark. Mr. O’Rielley wins the $150 first place prize and led for almost the entire competition. Mr. Clark gets the $50 consolation prize after a strong finish.

NFL Picks: Thanksgiving Day Game – Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions This is a funny game for a number of reasons – it’s a rivalry game with a big point spread on a national stage, for one. More importantly, it’s arguably the best pass rush in football against arguably the worst offensive line in football with arguably one of the panickiest quarterbacks in football. That’s a recipe for disaster.

NHL Picks: Edmonton Oilers at Dallas StarsThis line is a little sharp for my taste, but I’m on it because it fits the system everywhere except the line. I usually go with more modest favorites, but this looks good on all fronts. Let’s take a look:
