FEATURED NHL GAME – OPENING NIGHT – NEW YORK RANGERS AT BOSTON BRUINS ORIGINAL SIX RIVALRY GAME!
The New York Rangers might be the best team in the Eastern Conference. They return the top-seeded roster from last year, added Rick Nash to the offense, and should be fresh after a long offseason free from blocking shots and the grinding year that led to an Eastern Conference Finals loss to the New Jersey Devils. Hopes are high and energy is just as high. I love the Rangers this year.
The Boston Bruins are going in a new direction after Tim Thomas chose to sit out this season. Tuukka Raask has long been considered one of hockey’s finest back up goaltenders, but all will be put to the test.
On the road, the Rangers have their work cut out for them. Still, I trust Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers defense to control this game.
Z Code isn’t sold. One parameter suggests a 56% chance for the Bruins to win, but another gives 2 star underdog value to the Rangers. Normally that’s a sign to avoid this game, but at +110 can you really stay away? I can’t.
