NHL Picks: Dallas Stars at New York Rangers
I don’t normally do this, but I found this testimonial on the main page of the VIP Club wall to be pretty interesting. I like the New York Rangers here. I recognize that New York has really struggled to find consistency this year, but they have every advantage coming into this game. At a -150 line, I see no reason to hesitate here (aside from the Rangers’ striking ability to disappoint).
The Rangers are the better team, the better defense by far, and they’re home. They have fresh legs against a Stars team that just got shut out by the New Jersey Devils. After a grinding, frustrating game, Dallas will be tired and it will show as they try to penetrate this defense. The line has value.
The computer agrees, giving 3.5 stars of support to the pick and a 60% chance to win.
Every parameter in my system is satisfied, though it’s certainly tough to trust the Rangers at times. I expect New York to take this one at the Garden.
