I think the battle of Tom Brady Vs Peyton Manning is total nonsense. You have to remember the swiss cheese defenses that Peyton Manning had on his side with the Indianapolis Colts. To deliver a Super Bowl to that garbage team was far more impressive than anything Tom Brady has ever done. If Manning had any semblance of a roster in Indy, the Colts would have been even more impressive. Brady has always had excellent coaching and a far superior team. As such, Peyton Manning is the better quarterback for sure – especially in the regular season.
For me, the real story here is the Denver Broncos defense. It’s going to be cold, and as much as I trust Peyton Manning as a game manager, I worry about the weather. Can his aching, elderly bones (and ankles) hold up? The Broncos may need to get a couple stops.
The Patriots aren’t that good this year. I think the Broncos are Super Bowl contenders. The Pats have an excellent coach and quarterback, but I’m not sure the rest of the pieces are strong enough to take out the Broncos.
