Week 9 DFS Recap
Aside from a few unexpected duds, this week went really well. You could have easily gone 6/7 with these lineups, but sticking to the hard 125 and 111 goals, we went 5/7 (one DK lineup missed the mark by less than a point). With respect to the Clunkers, of course Gronk and brady have their worst games this year the one week I decide to roll them out. Doug martin was especially disappointing, but he fumbled in the first quarter and his coach decided to punish him by basically benching him the rest of the game while Charles Sims had a great game. Jonathon Stewart was pretty quiet and Dion Lewis tore his acl and gave the game to Blount who was great. Demaryius Thomas was, once again, outshined by Emmanuel Sanders despite seeming to establish himself fairly well two weeks ago. Finally the Broncos D/ST was disappointing despite the fact that they managed to score a TD.
On the bright side, Mike Evans had a great game despite dropping half his passes. He was on par for an outing similar to Antonio Browns 17 for 280 except he couldn’t seem to catch the ball- ugliest 150 yard game ever but well take it. Derek Carr was brilliant. Allen Hurns outshined Allen Robinson to further my point of playing number 2 WRs against the jets. Decker had a great game while brandon marshall was playing through an injury, and Chris Ivory saved a lackluster performance by scoring two TDs.
Overall, it was a weird week with some unpredictable factors popping up that weren’t in our favor, but we still did well and I’m happy with the numbers. Speaking of, here are the numbers:
