Week One NFL Picks: New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys, Sunday Night Football

NFL Picks and Predictions: Opening Football Weekend – New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys, Sunday Night Football

I like the Cowboys this year, but I like the Cowboys every year and I’m always wrong. My feeling, this time around, is that with a healthy running back and so many dynamic offensive weapons, they can find enough balance to keep Tony Romo on his feet. If the Cowboys don’t use the run and screen effectively, Romo has proven he can’t do it alone (though he is good for one or two remarkable scrambles a game).

Z-Code sees no value. Sunday Night games are usually when public money tilts after a day of losing picks, which means Vegas controls the money and manipulates the line. We see it time and time again – the public loses on games like this. There’s not much value to be had here.

Still, it’s a great game and I actually really like the matchups. Public money is on the Giants pretty heavily on the moneyline, and I think Vegas knows what they’re doing here. I also think the Giants secondary won’t have an answer for all these weapons in Big D. Dallas owns opening weekend – I’m in.

Cowboys 34 – Giants 24
