NFL Week 15: Betting the Sunday Games with Z-Code
Here are Z-Code’s picks for tomorrow’s games.
Redskins vs. Panthers
The Panthers are a 5 win team who can’t find any semblence of momentum on either side of the ball. The Redskins are half a game back from a wild card playoff position and desperately need a win today. With the Bucs in a tough matchup against the Cowboys, Washington has a chance to leap into the wildcard spot in this juicy home matchup. The Redskins haven’t lost at home since week 2 and the Panthers are 1-5 on the road this year. We expect them to take full advantage of their fortunate situation. The line is currently at -6.5 for Washington and we expect their powerful offense will cover this easily.

Chargers vs. Raiders
The Raiders have lost their top spot in the division to Chiefs by virtue of a win-against. However, they’re a strong favorite for a wildcard spot regardless, but the division is still easily winnable. This weekend they play the Chargers on the road whose roster has suffered a never-ending plague of injuries. The Raiders are an excellent road team and have lost only one game while travelling all year. The Chargers are spiralling down the toilet and won’t have the offense to keep up with Oakland without Melvin Gordon. Expect a sloppy game won easily by oakland.

Falcons vs. 49ers
The Falcons are now currently tied with the Bucs for the division but are struggling in the back end of the season while the Bucs are hungry and looking to win. The falcons have also lost their key weapon this weekend in Julio Jones. However, they managed to score 42 points without him last weekend agaisnt a competent rams defense. Furthermore, the birds will have Sanu back in the lineup to soak up some would-be Jones targets. The Falcons are blessed with basically the easiest matchup in the NFL when they need it most so expect them to try to build of the small momentum they’ve gained in the last week. The spread of -13 seems outrageous, especially with jones out, but the Falcons have other weapons in the passing game and two top-notch runners. We think this is a line they can easily cover.
