NBA Finals Prediction

For the fourth consecutive season the Golden State Warriors face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The Warriors have won two of the last three. Can they make it three of four or will LeBron James find a way to lead the Cavaliers to even the score?

The Warriors made their way through the Western Conference playoffs defeating San Antonio in five, New Orleans in five and Houston in seven. Cleveland took down Indiana in seven, Toronto in five and Boston in seven. Golden State got the best of Cleveland in head-to-head play this season, taking both contests.

Golden State holds a slim +27 to +26 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator. Interestingly enough, neither team is excelling on the Team Strength Oscillator, with the Cavaliers at “average” and the Warriors at “average down”. Cleveland is the most unstable team in the NBA, according to the Team Volatility Oscillator. This means that their favorite/underdog status is not a good indicator on whether or not to bet on them.

LeBron James is capable alone to lead his team to the title. However, the Warriors are clearly the better squad up and down the roster. As good as James is, he alone wont make the difference in this series against Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and the rest of the Warriors. While the series will be exciting and competitive, Golden State will take their third title in the last four years, winning in six games.
