The NBA conference semi-finals are completed. Who are the favorites to meet for the NBA Championship?
Golden State Warriors versus Houston Rockets
The Golden State Warriors enter the Western Conference Finals defeating the New Orleans Pelicans in five games. Houston also took care of the Utah Jazz in five. During the regular season the Rockets won two of three against the Warriors. The Rockets have a +29 to +27 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator. Similarly, Houston is “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator, while Golden State is “average up”. In a nearly even match up, the key may be the fact that the Rockets are sixth in Team Volatility, while the Warriors are not in the top ten. The Rockets have home court advantage, which will play large. In a great series, the Rockets win in seven to advance to the NBA Finals.
Boston Celtics versus Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers enter the Eastern Conference Finals following a sweep of the Toronto Raptors, while the Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in five. In a very close match up, the Celtics have a slim +28 to +27 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator. Cleveland is “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator, while the Celtics are “average”. Although Boston has the home court advantage, Cleveland took two of three in the season series. They also have the best player in LeBron James, who shows he can still carry a team on his back. Cleveland will take down Boston in six to advance to the NBA Finals.
