MLB Picks: Sunday Night Baseball, LA Dodgers at St. Louis Cardinals
Clayton Kershaw is unstoppable and he’s a hard guy to bet against. In fact, as a rule, I don’t do it. The question for me here is whether or not the line allows us to support him against a top team like the St. Louis Cardinals, particularly when the LA Dodgers have been so inconsistent.
The computer and I are in agreement here in that this game doesn’t have any value. I don’t bet against Kershaw, so I’m off this one, but the computer is on the Cardinals. Five-star value and better than 50% chance as a big underdog at home here. It screams value.
Again, I avoid an ace like this one, but the Cardinals have all the value in this matchup. Throw sweep resistance into the mix, though, and the fact that Kershaw has the power to shut down any lineup, and I think it’s best to avoid.
