MLB Picks Contest: Colorado Rockies at Chicago Cubs
Our MLB Picks contest will come to an end today and either Duane or Alex will come away with a $100 prize. Alex is on the Rockies, Duane is on the Cubs, and our computer is conflicted. Chime in on the post pinned to the top of our MLB Picks Facebook page to cheer them on and move up the final standings as we prepare for the next wave of the contest. Remember, your participation is what keeps this going and makes it fun for us.
Alex is in good shape. The computer sees underdog value in the Rockies and they have a 67% chance to win. I think they’re the better team, and they came into this series with some momentum by winning three of four.
That’s not to say Duane is in trouble. The Cubs are a solid favorite at 1.85 odds, and the computer is in conflict. It sees value in both sides of the line, and if the underdog really had a 67% chance of winning there would surely be five-star value in this pick. The algorithm is conflicted, and as such we throw it out.
My phrase in the Z-Code community to describe this game is TBTNB. It means Two Bad Teams No Bet. I’ll be holding to it, but for purposes of the contest get your picks in and offer our two leaders of the pack some support in the final stage of this $100 round.
