Wild Card Round

Oakland Athletics at Kansas City Royals – One Game Playoff

Lester V Shields

They don’t call him “Big Game James” for nothing. The way the Oakland Athletics have hit since the trade deadline, combined with a little bit of cold weather and a hot Kansas City team, makes me lean ever so slightly to the home team here. It’s hard to bet against Lester, but the A’s bullpen is struggling and they haven’t been scoring enough to earn my support. With that elimination game losing streak in tact for the Athletics, I’m on KC here.

NFL Picks Week Four: Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings

NFL Picks Week Four: Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota VikingsThis game is simply about respect for me. I do not respect the Minnesota Vikings offense without Adrian Peterson in the lineup. I don’t think they will be able to compete with the Atlanta Falcons here.

Atlanta has started the season off right. Their wide receivers give them enough depth to make dynamic plays and blow the top off the defense. Steven Jackson looks good, and the rotation of running backs look sharp. Matt Ryan is off to a great start and is making good decisions. I don’t think the Minnesota Vikings  ...

NFL Picks Contest ($200 Prizes) Week Four: New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys

NFL Picks Contest: New Orleans Saints (-3) at Dallas CowboysSunday Night Football Drew Brees doesn’t appear to be quite right this year, the Saints defense has been sloppy, and the Cowboys offense has been crisp and brilliant at times and horrible at others. On the road, the Saints are favored by a field goal. There is no doubt in my mind if the Dallas Cowboys play like they did in the second half of last week, they win this game at home. Which Cowboys team shows up? Will Drew Brees finally get it together against the beleaguered secondary of the Dallas Cowboys? At its best, this could be a high-flying, exciting shootout. At it’s worst, this could be very sloppy. Who ya got, against the spread? Who Dat Nation or America’s Team?
