UEFA Champions League Futures

The European soccer season has kicked off, and the UEFA Champions League is just around the corner. The competition is the premier club soccer tournament in the world and only the best of the best in Europe qualify for it each year.

With the tournament proper starting on September 12th, let’s look at the UEFA Champions League futures top teams to wager on.

Real Madrid +450

Real Madrid have won three of the last four UEFA Champions League titles, and the team look good value to win it again this season. The Spanish giants are seriously stacked with talent and the team is led by world-class attacking player Cristiano Ronaldo. The team will finish first or second in its domestic league, but it is predicted the club will top the Champions League. No team has won more Champions League tournaments than Real Madrid, and it will be the team to beat.

Barcelona +500

Barcelona is second favorites to win the UEFA Champions League, and over the last few years, the Spanish club has been neck and neck with Real Madrid. The club is just a bit behind its Spanish rivals as 2017-18 kicks off. Barcelona sold one of their top stars, Neymar, this summer to Paris Saint-Germain, and are yet to replace him. The team has plenty of holes and need to address some of its shortcomings, which could prevent it from winning the illustrious trophy this season.

Bayern Munich +600

The German giants, Bayern Munich, are one of the most talented teams in Europe. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has won three UEFA Champions League titles previously, and is one of the best football minds around. He has great players like Arturo Vidal and Roberto Lewandowski who will score plenty of goals in the tournament this term. Bayern will easily win its domestic league in Germany, and the real challenge for the club will be to win the Champions League. Spanish competition has prevented the team from getting through the knockout stages in recent season. If the Germans can overcome its Spanish opposition, a Champions League title could be in its future.

Paris Saint-Germain +650

Paris Saint-Germain has been looking for its breakthrough in the UEFA Champions League for the last three season, and it may have gotten it this summer. PSG spent $261 million on new signing Neymar and many expect him to get the team over the hump in the competition. Although he will improve the team, it remains to be seen if he can carry an entire club on his own shoulders.

Juventus +1200

The 2014-15 Champions League runners-up haven’t started this season well, losing the Italian Super Cup. The club also lost defensive stalwart Leonardo Bonucci, and the team could be much weaker this term than in previous seasons. The Champions League has been one of the most elusive trophies for Juventus in the club’s history, and it has only secured two previously. This season could be Juventus’ most difficult Italian season in some time, so expecting them to win the Champions League may be a tall order.
