The Norwegian Eliteserien, Sweden’s Allsvenskan, Finland’s Veikkausliiga, and Ireland Premier Division will give us some exciting action on Friday and Saturday.

Norway Eliteserie – July 5

Molde vs. Odds BallKlub

Molde lead the Eliteserien having picked up 29 points from 42 possible. The league leaders sit four points ahead of third-place Odds Ballklub. The visitors could draw closer with a big win, but it won’t be easy to claim victory at Molde.

Odds Ballklub head into the game having lost their last match, 3-0, to Bodo/Glimt. Odds Ballklub have lost two out of their last three matches overall.

Molde, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last three matches with two games ending in victory. Molde are unbeaten in four of their last five games against Odds Ballklub.

They should win once more against Odds Ballklub and extend their lead at the top of the Eliteserien table.

Ireland Premier Division – July 5th

Derry City vs. Dundalk

Ireland Premier Division leaders Dundalk travel to Derry City on Friday evening looking to extend their lead at the top of the table. Dundalk are reigning champions of the Premier Division and look good to retain their title.

Dundalk have tallied a league-leading 33 goals while conceding the fewest number of scores, 11, this term.

Derry City are fourth in the Premier Division but sit a full 20 points behind Dundalk. Derry City are unbeaten in their last four matches with two of those games finishing in victories.

Dundalk’s last five matches in the league have all finished in wins to nil. A clean sheet victory is a great bet for this fixture this weekend. The last time the two teams played at Derry City’s home ground, Dundalk won 2-0.

Winner: Dundalk

Finland Veikkausliiga – July 6

Honka vs. KuPS

It is a battle of the second and third place teams in Finland’s Veikkausliiga on Saturday. Second place Honka host third-place KuPS with the winner possibly moving into first place depending on results elsewhere.

Both teams are undefeated in their last three matches as they have posted two wins and a draw.

Honka are playing at home where they have total 10 of 18 points this season. Their last four home games have all ended with under 2.5 goals scored.

KuPS have tallied 12 points from 21 possible on the road. Four of their last six road games all finished with under 2.5 goals scored.

Honka defeated KuPS in their most recent meeting as they won 3-0. Can they post another big scoreline win? Honka should claim the victory at home.

Winner: Honka

Sweden Allsvenskan – July 6

Malmo vs. Orebro

Allsvenskan leaders Malmo host Orebro on Saturday. The hosts could extend their league lead to seven points depending on results elsewhere.

Orebro are 11th having started the season poorly. They have collected just 14 points from 39 possible. Malmo are undefeated in their last six matches and have lost just once this term.

Orebro are coming off of their seventh loss already and three of their last five games have finished in defeat.

Malmo should pick up the victory at home. They have won five of their last six games against Orebro and should push that number to six in seven.

Winner: Malmo
