We go 1-0 yesterday to take our bowl record to 4-2. Let’s take a look at Thursday’s four game slate.
Thursday, Dec. 28
Military Bowl
Virginia vs. Navy (-1) | O/U: 52
Both teams had terrible 2nd halves to their seasons and will be looking to finish on a positive note. While Virginia has experience this season facing the triple option, it will be a tough ask for them to win at Navy’s home in Annapolis. I don’t see a lot of value on either side of this line so it’s an easy pass for me.
Thursday, Dec. 28
Camping World Bowl
Oklahoma State (-6) vs. Virginia Tech | O/U: 62
Oklahoma State averages 46.3 points per game while Virginia Tech gives up 14.7 points per game. Something has to give. While Virginia Tech’s offense isn’t very good, I think their defense can help keep them in this game. OSU quarterback Mason Rudolph is always capable of putting up a ton of points but I think there is good value on the Hokies. Let’s take Virginia Tech +6.

Alamo Bowl
Stanford vs. TCU (-3) | O/U: 49
TCU is one of the top 5 teams in the country at defending the run but Stanford and Bryce Love present a much bigger problem than they have faced all season. Both teams are well coached and will be well prepared. I think taking Stanford and the points is a solid play but with TCU playing in their home state this is a game I’m going to pass on.

Holiday Bowl
Michigan State vs. Washington State (-1.5) | O/U: 47.5
Washington State returns to the Holiday Bowl after losing to Minnesota here last season. Michigan State didn’t make a bowl game last year and will be glad to be back in the post season. Neither team has shown much away from their home stadium but I think Michigan State will have the motivation advantage. Washington State started strong and fizzled out so a return to the same bowl game as last season could lead to a flat performance. Let’s take Michigan State -1.5.
