Totals Predictor

One of the many useful tools on ZCode is the Totals Predictor. As a small case study, I have chosen 3 MLB games on Sunday June 18 for us to take a look at.

GAME #1:

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Cincinnati Reds.
Current Total @ Bookmaker: 10.5o-120

Here is a screenshot of the Totals Predictor for this game:

LAD-CIN

As you can see, both teams are on an over upswing. This looks like a clear signal for an over. And with both starting pitchers capable of a meltdown while playing in a hitters’ park, I would agree with this one. Take LAD/CIN Over 10.5 @ -120.

GAME #2:

Washington Nationals vs New York Mets
Current Total @ Bookmaker: 8.5o-120

Totals Predictor:

WAS-NYM

This over intrigues me because at first glance we see Jacob DeGrom is pitching for the Mets which has led to some public action on the under, pushing the opening total from 9 to 8.5. As you can see, both teams are starting an over upswing and I also think the matchup has a potential for a high scoring game. Take the WAS/NYM Over 8.5 @ -120.

GAME #3

San Diego Padres vs Milwaukee Brewers
Current Total @ Bookmaker: 8.5o-120

Totals Predictor:

SD-MIL

Both teams are showing a strong signal for an over. Because of the pitching matchup, the public hasn’t been strong on the over so the total moved from 9 to 8.5. This is another game that I think we can catch some value taking the over at a lower number. Take SD/MIL Over 8.5 @ -120

Obviously, using a tool like the Totals Predictor works best over time and anything can happen in a small sample size. But by using the Totals Predictor as one of your filters, it is a great way to increase profits. Good luck!
