For NFL Week 12 we dive into two divisional match-ups and one big AFC-NFC clash. The NFL Playoffs are on the horizon and teams are making one final push for the postseason.
NFL Week 11 saw Zcode System’s weekly NFL picks blog accurately select two out of three winners. The Carolina Panthers were the only team in our trio of selections to lose outright. So, what have we got on tap for NFL Week 12?
New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were upset by NFC South rivals the Atlanta Falcons in NFL Week 11. The Falcons won 29-3 in a score that few saw coming. Carolina host New Orleans after back to back losses. The Saints rebounded last weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after they too lost to the resurgent Falcons.
Carolina is inconsistent and struggling. The Saints have thus far been the cream of the crop in the NFC South and should get another win in the division on Sunday. The Saints are 2-1 in the NFC South and 4-1 over the course of their last five games. New Orleans defense gives up just 19.9 points per game and with Carolina’s offense struggling, expect a win for the Saints.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New England Patriots
The Dallas Cowboys sit atop the NFC East at 6-4 and are coming off of a win against the Detriot Lions. The New England Patriots are crushing it in the AFC East and Sunday’s game could be a preview of the Super Bowl.
The Pats rebounded from their narrow loss to the Baltimore Ravens with a seven-point win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. The Pats have been brilliant defensively with the Ravens the only team able to take advantage of them this season. The Pats defense gives up an average of 10.8 points and that low figure should continue in NFL Week 12.
New England will get a key win over the Cowboys and continue its great run. The Cowboys are 1-1 against AFC teams.

Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers
Two of the hottest teams clash in San Francisco as the 49ers and Green Bay Packers do battle. Both teams are coming off of wins following losses. The 49ers beat the Arizona Cardinals 36-26 while the Packers won against the Panthers 24-16. Green Bay did have a bye week in Week 11 and should be rested.
The Packers won the match-up between the two teams in 2018, 33-30. They will aim for another big win, but this time on the road. Green Bay is 3-1 on the road while the 49ers are 4-1 at home. It should be a close game with the 49ers edging the win.
San Francisco’s defense gives up 15.5 points a game and ranks 2nd in the NFL. The Packers defense is 28th. Jimmy Garopollo should have another big game. He threw for 424 yards and four touchdowns last week against the Cardinals.
