NFL Predictions Week 14: Will the Rams take down the Bears ?

Heading into the final quarter of the NFL teams and nearly two-thirds of the teams are still in the playoff picture. Can the Rams keep hold of number one seed in the NFC? We’ll examine the Rams match up against the Bears and four contests.

Baltimore Ravens versus Kansas City Chiefs

The Ravens have won three straight and are on the heels of the Steelers in the AFC North. Kansas City holds a one game lead over the surging Chargers in the AFC West. The Chiefs enter seven point favorites and hold a +25 to +20 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator, while both teams are “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The VIP Picks section of the site gives the Chiefs a 66 percent chance of winning. Kansas City is among the most stable teams in the league at +9 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. In a tight fought game, the Chiefs will win but the Ravens will cover.

Indianapolis Colts versus Houston Texans

Houston is the hottest team in the NFL, having won their last nine. They took the first meeting between the teams this season, 37-34 on September 30. Despite a loss last week, the Colts have been playing well and are “burning hot down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Houston has a +31 to +22 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator, while both teams are relatively stable at +4.  Indianapolis is only 2-4 on the road and as hot at the Texans are, seems very unlikely that they can stick with them. In fact, the Texans have a 74 percent chance of winning and should win and cover the 4.5 point spread.

Philadelphia Eagles versus Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have been on a roll, winners of their last four, including a 13-10 triumph over the Saints last week. The are +22 on the Power Ranking Indicator and “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The Eagles are starting to get into rhythm, having won their last two and are +16 and “burning hot”. The Cowboys won the first meeting of the season between the teams, 27-20. Neither team are particularly stable, so look at favorite/underdog status with caution. Dallas is given a 62 percent chance of winning. This this divisional match up, expect a hard fought game. While I lean Dallas, the Eagles are still a proud franchise with enough talent to perhaps pull an upset.

Los Angeles Rams versus Chicago Bears

The Rams look to keep hold of number one seed in the NFC, while the Bears look to rebound from a shocking loss to the Giants. The Bears hold a +30 to +29 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator, while the Rams are “burning hot” versus “burning hot down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Both teams are among the most stable in the league, meaning they win consistently as favorites and fall as underdogs. The Rams are three point favorites and have a 59 percent chance of winning, as can bee seen in our VIP Picks section. In what is likely to be the game of the week, go for the Rams in a game decided late.

New Orleans Saints versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers

New Orleans had their ten game winning streak broken last week and look to rebound against the Buccaneers, who have won two straight. New Orleans is an eight point favorite and given a 73 percent chance of a road victory. They hold a +31 to +8 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator. Tampa Bay won the first meeting in week one, 48-40. New Orleans is “burning hot down” versus “average up” for Tampa Bay, while both teams are relatively stable according to the Team Volatility Oscillator. The Saints should bounce back nicely for a win and cover.
