EPL Predictions November 3rd-5th: Arsenal look to gun down Liverpool

The English Premier League heads into week 11 on Saturday, November 3rd. This week’s big match sees Arsenal clash with Liverpool. Of course, it isn’t the only big match as other title contenders and pretenders will have an impact on the top of the table.

EPL Predictions:

Saturday, November 3rd

Bournemouth vs. Manchester United

Bournemouth host Manchester United in what is an intriguing game on paper. Bournemouth is undefeated in five of six games while Manchester United is undefeated in three straight. Problem is, Manchester United has looked awful in each performance. Bournemouth hasn’t lost at home all season. Manchester United has not won its last two road games. It’s a bold prediction, but Bournemouth will win to start the weekend.

Result: Bournemouth

Cardiff City vs. Leicester

As of this writing, there is no word on whether or not this game will be played. The reason is due to the tragic death of Leicester’s owner following their game last weekend. Team owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s helicopter crashed in the parking lot of the King Power Stadium just after takeoff. Srivaddhanaprabha had just watched his team draw with West Ham and was heading home. The crash killed all aboard. If this game does take place, it would be difficult to believe the Foxes can overcome emotion and win.

Result: Draw

Everton vs Brighton

Everton was awful against Manchester United last weekend, yet nearly got a draw. The Toffees looked lethargic and tired, which was uncharacteristic. Brighton has slowly climbed up the table and has won three straight games. However, Brighton has only won once in five road games.

Result: Everton

West Ham vs. Burnley

This game features two teams that aren’t very good or in-form. However, West Ham has the edge thanks to possessing more talented players. The Hammers have failed to get those players to excel this term. Burnley has won just once away from home and that will doom the team on Saturday.

Result: West Ham

Liverpool vs. Arsenal

The marquee match of the weekend sees joint-first place Liverpool traveling to London to play Arsenal. Both teams are red-hot. Arsenal is coming off of a draw at the weekend to Crystal Palace. It showed that the Gunners’ defense isn’t infallible. Liverpool romped to a 4-1 win over Cardiff City. Forward Mohamed Salah is back in goalscoring form and the Reds will be all over Arsenal. This will be a fun game for neutrals to watch. ZCode System’s Score Predictor has selected Arsenal as winners. However, I cannot agree with the prediction as Liverpool is too good.

Result: Liverpool

Wolverhampton vs. Tottenham

Wolverhampton is suddenly struggling, losing two straight matches. Tottenham is also coming off of a loss and players are looking tired. If Spurs get Dele Alli and Danny Rose back from injury, they should cruise. If they don’t play, and there is no confirmation they will, this will be a tight affair.

Result: Tottenham

Manchester City vs. Southampton

Manchester City has mauled teams outside the top 6 this season. The team has scored a league-leading 27 goals and conceded a low of three. Southampton will be overrun defensively. Southampton’s attack has scored the second-fewest goals in the EPL (six).

Result: Manchester City

Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace

Chelsea needs a win to keep pace with Manchester City and Liverpool. Depending on Liverpool’s result, Chelsea could move into second with a win. The Blues should get that win, but Crystal Palace is a plucky team. The Eagles drew with Arsenal a week ago showing just how stubborn they are. They don’t score a lot of goals and they have posted a -6-goal difference. Chelsea should break Crystal Palace down for all three points.

Result: Chelsea

Monday, November 5

Huddersfield vs. Fulham

This is a game of two teams that have been awful this season. Huddersfield has the worst points total while Fulham has the third-worst tally. Huddersfield is yet to win this season and has scored just four goals. Although Fulham hasn’t been great defensively, its attack is solid and it will be too much for Huddersfield.

Result: Fulham
