English Premier League Week 4 Preview & Predictions

Liverpool v Manchester City - Premier League

After a brief international break for 2018 World Cup qualification, the English Premier League returns with week 4. The big match of the weekend will see Manchester City hosting Liverpool, but in all, 10 great matches will be played over a three day period.

English Premier League week 4

Manchester City vs. Liverpool

Manchester City and Liverpool go into Saturday’s match with identical records after three matches. Both teams are undefeated, and both have been great in attack this term. However, defensively, the two clubs have shown some weaknesses. Liverpool are expected to select Philippe Coutinho in the team for the first time this season. His inclusion could turn the balance in the Reds’ favor.

ZCode System’s scores predictor has selected Manchester City to win by a 3-0 scoreline. However, I can’t agree with this result as Liverpool will be a difficult task for the Blues. Expect a Liverpool win or draw, despite the game being played in Manchester.

Arsenal vs. Bournemouth

Arsenal have started the season very poorly, and lost 4-0 to Liverpool in week 3. However, it hasn’t been much better for Bournemouth, as the team has score just one goal this term. Arsenal has all the tools to win, and strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez have goals in them.

ZCode System’s scores predictor has Arsenal slated for a 3-0 win. It’s a bold prediction. Arsenal should win, but 3-0 maybe too flattering.

Brighton vs. West Brom

Brighton hosts a surprisingly good West Brom in week 4. Brighton has failed to score in all three of its opening matches. Meanwhile, West Brom has been great defensively. The Baggies have given up just one goal this season and should keep a clean sheet to beat Brighton on Saturday.

Everton vs. Tottenham

Everton and Tottenham have had identical results this term and both have secured four points from a possible nine. ZCode System’s line reversal tool has Tottenham as the favorite by sharp bettors.

Part of that reason could be down to Everton’s star striker Wayne Rooney being arrested for drink driving during the week. He may not feature in the match. Tottenham is a strong team, but the fixture should be close. Tottenham should win, 2-1.

Leicester vs. Chelsea

Last year’s Premier League winners, Chelsea, have got its act together after losing on opening day. The Blues have a strong XI and star striker Alvaro Morata is in good form, scoring two goals this term already. Leicester have won just once in three matches. Playing at home, the team may be difficult to beat.

ZCode System’s score predictor has Chelsea picked for a 3-0 win, and I must agree with that prediction.

Stoke vs. Manchester United

Manchester United has set the pace in the Premier League this term. Striker Romelu Lukaku has been in fine form, scoring three goals this season already.

Manchester United is heavy favorites with a line reversal of -200 for Saturday’s late game. The Red Devils will pick up all three points, and Stoke will give the team little resistance as it continues being the top side in the Premier League this season.
